Look for change
An unusual spot may become larger, change colour or shape, itch or bleed. A lesion that looks different from your others also deserves attention.
Know the ABCDE guide
Asymmetry, an irregular border, varied colour, diameter and evolution are useful warning signs. Melanoma can be smaller than 6 mm, so size alone does not rule it out.
What happens at the clinic
