Medical dermatology & venereology.
Care for skin hair and nail concerns
A consultation begins with the concern that brought you in. Persistent itching, a changing spot, hair loss or a nail change may need different kinds of assessment. A condition list can help you find a topic, but it cannot tell you which diagnosis applies.
Understanding the next step
Explain what you have noticed and how it affects you. Ask what the possible causes are, whether an examination or test would help, and what the treatment options involve. Some concerns can be managed with a care plan and follow-up; others may need further testing or another specialist. Confirm which services can be provided or arranged by the clinic.
Before your consultation
Bring your medicine and skincare list, previous test results and details of treatments you have tried. Note when the symptoms started, whether they come and go, and any reactions to medicines or products. Write down your main questions so you can discuss them during the visit. Share sensitive details directly with your clinician.
Book a consultationConditions you can ask us about
This guide covers many dermatologic conditions, but it is not an exhaustive list. Naming a condition does not confirm a diagnosis or mean that every treatment is available in the clinic. Rare or complex conditions may need coordinated specialist care.
Venereology and genital skin concerns
Skin Doctors offers venereology consultations in Cebu City for sexually transmitted infection (STI) concerns and genital skin conditions. Care begins with a medical assessment and a discussion of appropriate testing, treatment and follow-up. Your doctor can advise when laboratory testing or referral to another service is needed.
What can I ask about?
You can discuss a possible sexual exposure, genital warts, sores, irritation or unusual discharge. These symptoms can have different causes; a genital skin concern does not automatically mean an STI. Some STIs have no symptoms, so appearance alone cannot confirm or exclude an infection.
What happens at a consultation?
Your doctor will ask about symptoms, relevant exposures, medicines and previous tests, and explain any examination recommended. Testing and treatment depend on the assessment. Ask which tests can be arranged and whether another facility is needed. Bring previous results if available, and discuss sensitive details directly with your doctor.
